Pair your vacation with wine.

There are many ways to incorporate wine into your vacation, or make it the main focus! Here are a few ideas: 

Wine Tastings – Located in many city centers such as Paris, Rome, and Florence. Normally last 1-2 hours. Great introduction to regional wines. Good for wine novices to experts.

Vineyard Visits – Visit a vineyard for a few hours. Especially popular as a day-trip from Florence into the neighboring Tuscany countryside. Great option for those short on time and on a budget. Good for wine novices to experts.

Vineyard Stays – Don't just visit a vineyard - stay there as well! Perfect for those who have their own car or who have the budget to hire a private driver/car as the vineyards are in rural areas away from public transport. Best for intermediate and expert wine connoisseur.

Group Tours – If you don’t want the hassle of renting a car, or have the budget for hiring a private driver, a group tour is a better option. There are many small group options that would include vineyard visits and overnight stays, wine tastings, cooking classes, and general sightseeing. Don’t be scared off by the term “group”!

Private Tours – For the ultimate travel experience, private tours are the way to go. Private tours and day-trips are available from most cities. You can also have private transportation arranged if you wish to stay in the countryside but still visit surrounding areas (so you aren’t “stuck”). Accommodations can include private villas or luxurious hotels.

Wine Cruises – A handful of the luxury river and ocean cruise ship companies have wine-themed cruises. These sailings normally happen just a few times a year and space is limited. The exception is river cruises in Europe – the majority of them include regional wine in every sailing. Many itineraries also include vineyard visits.
