Devour the flavors of the world.

Food is a huge part of any travel experience – and if it isn’t, then perhaps it should be! The opportunities to taste and learn about the local cuisine of the places you are visiting can be overwhelming, but it doesn't need to be. Everything from short walking tours to sampling tasty treats to week-long vacations at a culinary school are available. Here are a few ideas for your next foodie vacation:

  • Walking Tours – For those travelers who are staying in a city such as Paris, a walking tour featuring local produce can be a great vacation enhancement. Options include chocolate and pastry tastings, a “backstage” bakery tour, and of course – cheese! Available in other cities in Europe.
  • One-Day Cooking Classes – Want to learn some new techniques and recipes but short on time? Cooking Classes are available in many cities (such as Florence, Paris, Athens and Istanbul) which will last from 4-hours to a full day. You don’t have to be a professional chef – amateurs are welcome!
  • Full Day Culinary Tours – Spend the day enjoying a eating your way across the countryside (with wine pairings, of course!). Most culinary-themed day-trips feature a cooking class (with meal afterwards), a visit to a vineyard and some local sightseeing. Especially popular in Italy and areas of France.
  • Week-Long Culinary Vacations – If you want to truly immerse yourself into local food and wine, then spending several days to a week at a cooking school may be the right match for you. Led by professional chefs, these vacations include daily cooking classes as well as visits to local farms, vineyards and local sights. Accommodations are usually on-site at a chateau or villa setting.  Most popular in Italy and France (but becoming increasingly popular in other areas).

Leila always steered us in the right direction.

Leila seems to know everything and have all the recommendations and answers to every question I could’ve had. Her suggestions were right-on. I also appreciate the ease of communication with Leila – super fast responses always. She’s on the ball.

You have just gone beyond being a GREAT travel agent.

"You have made planning our trip come together like no one else would have done. You’ve given info and advice that I don’t think we would have gotten anywhere else, and we really appreciate it!"

She is terrific!.

Leila helped us to plan a multi-country vacation and she selected excellent hotels that perfectly fit our requirements and suggested tours that we really enjoyed. In addition, she is super-organized and provided us a travel itinerary and organized all our tickets and tour information so that it was super easy to access the proper information in the proper city.
